India Rising-1962-2020

In 1962, Indo-China war, India was not fully prepared to take on the mighty dragons . At that time , India was slowly gaining its foothold after attaining its Independence in 1947. It took almost 200 years for India to free itself from the clutches of British rule and to become a self sufficient country.

So, just after 15 years of independence, there were not many changes in Indian
economic status. It was still fighting its own internal war to become self sufficient and to do away with the evils of being ruled by a foreign country.

All its resources were drained out by the British Government and several problems of sustenance were faced by the native people of our country to create its own identity.

In 1962, we were lacking majorly all forms of resources including weapons  and other sophisticated tanks. We didn't have any nuclear power of our own.

We just had few bunches of old helicopters. On the other hand, China was in a better position compared to us.Our soldiers were stronger but they didn't had any automatic rifles like China. They just had shotguns and snipers.

But the situation is totally different in today's scenario. Not only we have a strong Government led by a mighty leader but we are fully covered with important resources required to get into a battle with a strong country like China.

We are more advanced in our technology as compared to our position in 1962.

We have better diplomatic ties with different countries all over the world which is important  for India to position itself as a strong ally.

Recently, The armies of India and China have been locked in a bitter standoff at multiple locations in eastern Ladakh for the last seven weeks, and the tension escalated after 20 Indian soldiers were killed in a violent clash in the Galwan Valley on June 15.

The two nuclear-armed neighbors are now attempting a rapid deescalation of tensions, even as some jingoistic and hawkish voices in both countries are demanding greater defiance and aggression. Many countries are pouring down their support in favor of India's stand.

India steps up economic retaliation against China. India has targeted Chinese trade and investment in the wake of the recent deadly border clash. On June 29th the government banned 59 Chinese mobile applications, including TikTok and WeChat.

In such condition, citizens should actively support the Government by boycotting the use of Chinese products and should  encourage local products which are made in India.

This will also lead to economic self sustenance and will play a major role  in promoting local trade for our own people.

With the two armies nursing their wounds and resuming deescalation protocols, attention will now turn to leaders in Delhi and Beijing and whether they can avoid the current spat spiraling out of control into a difficult and costly conflict.
